Vinay Rajkumar: I am a huge fan of romcoms so, I feel lucky to be part of a Simple Suni film

Vinay Rajkumar has proactively sought out exciting acting gigs and has never shied away from experimenting with his choice of roles. From endearing love stories to gritty sports dramas, the young actor has dabbled in all kinds of subjects and as the third-generation actor of the Dr. Rajkumar clan, he has taken on the mantle with flair. In this very pursuit, he is set to become the leading man of a Simple Suni fan and his fans and well-wishers are thrilled about the prospects.

And fascinatingly, this film in the making boasts both Simple Suni and his trademark 'simplicity' and has been aptly titled Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe, which translates to 'A Simple Love Story'. And the core team of the film, including Suni, Vinay Rajkumar, female leads Swathishta Krishnan & Mallika and others, gathered together earlier today (March 8th) in Mysuru for a press conference to discuss the movie and its making.

Turns out, Vinay Rajkumar, too, is super kicked about being part of the project and that's because he loves romcoms. "I have always loved the romcom genre and Suni's way of storytelling too. So when he approached me with an idea, I was thrilled to be a part of his film and luckily, the story, too, turned out to be super interesting. I play a character called Athishay in this film who is an aspiring music director. He has three main goals in his film - one, to have music surrounding him at all times. Two, to become a successful music director one day. And finally, to chase the idea of that dream girl that he has in his heart. In fact, the crux of Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe is that chase or that hunt for the dream girl," said Vinay at the press meet.

He would also name Simple Aagi Ondh Love Story, Chamak and Sakkath as his three favourite films of Simple Suni.

At the same press conference, it came to light that the idea of Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe was originally narrated to Puneeth Rajkumar who was quite on being part of it.
