Samuthirakani, continuing his glorious run in Telugu cinema, will headline a moving father-son drama titled Vimanam, that’s set to release on June 9. The film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual that stars Master Dhruvan, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Meera Jasmine in crucial roles. Siva Prasad Yanala, who has written the story, makes his directorial debut with the project.
After unveiling a series of promos and songs, the teaser of Vimanam was launched by actor Varun Tej today. “Happy to Launch this cute teaser of #Vimanam :)) Backed by my dear @dir_kiran & @lemonsprasad garu! Wishing @thondankani garu & the whole team very good luck,” the actor wrote as he shared the teaser.
The teaser commences with a son enquiring his father on how his mother had reached the heavens and if she had used a flight for the same. The sleepy father says yes but the kid is increasingly curious about its inner workings and discusses enthusiastically with his friends about it. His friend has a theory behind why the person who flies a flight is called a pilot and not a driver.
A drunkard finds it hard to understand why the kid is so curious about aeroplanes. The life of the kid and his friend takes different turns later. The glimpse ends with a moving ode to fatherhood, where the son equates a father to a living God. Rahul Ramakrishna, Dhanraj, Motta Rajendran play other important characters in the bilingual.
Kiran Korrapati, the director of Ghani, is bankrolling the film under Kiran Korrapati Creative Works in collaboration with ZEE Studios. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor while Vivek Kalepu is the cinematographer. Charan Arjun composes the music and JJ Murthy is the art director. Hanu Ravuri has written the dialogues for the Telugu version.
