Prasanth Pandiyaraj's web series Vilangu, which dropped on Zee5 recently, opened to positive reviews from critics and audience alike. This is the director's sophomore project after the debacle of his debut film, Bruce Lee, which was released a few years ago. Post its release, many film lovers hailed Vilangu as the best series to have been released in Tamil so far.
It is also considered to be the comeback for actor Vimal who has been struggling with many underwhelming projects in recent times. The performances of Ravi and Balasaravanan had received unanimous praise from critics, and the team had organized a special show for cops recently.
As part of a unique promotional idea, the team has now come up with a video which has Vimal and Prasanth reading out some of the popular memes on the film on social media. The two-minute video begins with a panicked Vimal asking the director if there are memes which are intended to mock him.
However, Prasanth consoles him and says that most of the reviews are positive. The first meme was in connection with a scene from Dhanush's Maryan, while the second one has the audience lauding the movie's screenplay. Vijay's popular dialogue 'antha bayam irukanum da' from Thuppakki has been used for the meme.
Vijay's swag moment from the introduction scene of Bigil and a popular comedy scene of Vadivelu are a few other memes which they read out among the sea of positive response they came across on social media.
They also congratulated each other for the film's success. Ajesh's background score and gripping screenplay are other aspects, apart from actors' performances, which won immense appreciation from movie lovers.
