Vilangu release date: When and where to watch this Tamil web series, starring Vimal

Vimal, who was last seen in Kanni Raasi (streaming on Zee5) along with Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, will next be seen in a web series, titled Vilangu. The actor has a slew of upcoming movies ready for release as well. In a career spanning close to two decades, Vilangu marks his OTT debut.

Prasanth Pandiyaraj of GV Prakash-starrer Bruce Lee (streaming on Zee5) has directed the project which has been bankrolled by Madan of Escape Artists Motion. Balasaravanan and Munishkanth will be seen essaying pivotal characters in the series which has Ineya playing the female lead.

Sivakarthikeyan revealed the release date and first look of Vilangu. He tweeted, "A captivating investigative drama is coming your way! Here is the first Look of ZEE5's new Series #Vilangu. Best wishes (sic)." Siva and Vimal had earlier teamed up for Pandiraj's Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga (streaming on Zee5).

Balasaravanan, too, took to his social media account to express happiness on the project's announcement and said that this was an update he has been eagerly waiting for. He also thanked director Prasanth for roping him in to portray an interesting role. 

What's Vilangu all about?

Billed as a crime drama, the first look of the project has Vimal, Munishkanth and Balasaravanan running after an unknown man who is seen carrying a bag which contains something precious. Vimal, Munishkanth and RNR Manojar are playing cops in the series. 

Vimal essays Paridhi, a dedicated cop who, is desperate to find a killer who is on the run, while Ineya essays Revathi, his wife in Vilangu. 

When and where to watch Vilangu?

The crime drama will start streaming on Zee5 from February 18. Dineshkumar Purushothaman has cranked the camera for the project which has Ajesh composing music and Ganesh Siva handling editing.

Sandakkari, Enga Pattan Sothu and Manjal Kudai are some of the projects Vimal has in his kitty, on which he has pinned high hopes on.
