The cast of SK 23, the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan project helmed by AR Murugadoss, is getting bigger. After recently announcing that actor Vidyut Jammwal will be joining the cast, the team revealed yet another cast member. The project welcomed actor Vikranth, who was last seen in Lal Salaam.

SK 23 welcomes Vikranth

The makers of SK 23 announced recently on social media that Vikranth is onboard the project. The film is directed by filmmaker AR Murugadoss with Sivakarthikeyan playing the lead role. The makers released a poster featuring the actor wielding a gun. It will mark the first time Sivakarthikeyan and Vikranth will be sharing the screen space.

Vikranth took to social media and wrote, "Elated to be a part of @ARMmurugadoss sir’s film. It’s a dream to work with the master filmmaker. Thank you sir. Double the fun working with Sivakarthikeyan brother."

The film will feature Vidyut Jammwal as the main antagonist, with Kannada actor Rukmini Vasanth playing the female lead, marking her debut in Tamil. The makers are expected to unveil the rest of the cast members one by one.

Directed by AR Murugadoss in his first collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan, SK 23 will have music by Anirudh Ravichander. The film is expected to be a mass entertainer. Sivakarthikeyan had earlier revealed that the film will give him more scope to perform.

The shooting for the film began in February. A release date for SK 23 is yet to be announced. SK 23 is shot by cinematographer Sudeep Elamon with Sreekar Prasad as the editor.

Meanwhile, Vikranth was last seen alongside Rajinikanth in Lal Salaam. The film, which released in February this year, did moderately well and is yet to be make its streaming debut. On the other hand, Sivakarthikeyan will be next seen in Amaran directed by Rajkumar Periyasamy. The film is backed by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International and is a biopic of Mukund Varadarajan.
