This morning, Kiccha Sudeep and the team of his upcoming film, Vikrant Rona, announced the launch date of the first single, Gadang Rakkamma. Unlike other films that launch different versions (in other languages) of a song simultaneously, team Vikrant Rona is not doing that and is dedicating a day each to the song in each language, starting with Kannada on Monday. An Ajaneesh B Loknath composition, the Kannada version of the song, featuring Bollywood siren Jacqueline Fernandez as Raquel D’Costa aka Gadang Rakkamma, has been written by director Anup Bhandari and sung by Nakash Aziz and Sunidhi Chauhan.

Nakash and Sunidhi have also sung the Tamil and Hindi versions, while Tippu and Bhadra Rajin lend their vocals in Malayalam. Nakaash is joined by Mangli for the Telugu version. The Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Hindi lyricists are Palani Bharathi, Ramajogayya Sastry, Santosh Varma and Shabbir Ahmed, respectively. The song has been choreographed by Jani master

Next week, team Vikrant Rona, led by hero Sudeep and director Anup, will tour their key markets to launch the different versions of the song in those states. In Bengaluru, they are expected to be joined by Salman Khan, who is presenting the film in north India, and Gadang Rakkamma (GR), Jacqueline.

Vikrant Rona, was launched as Phantom in 2020, but when the title was changed later, it was done with a major reveal event on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The fantasy action adventure is being released in Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and English in 3D. The film also stars Nirup Bhandari and Neetha Ashok in pivotal roles. While it was earlier reported that Jacqueline was only doing a special number in the film, it was later revealed that she has an important cameo as well.

Produced by Shalini and Manjunath Gowda for Shalini Artss and co-produced by Alankar Pandian of Invenio Origin, Vikrant Rona is set to release in theatres on July 28. Presented by Salman Khan Films in the Hindi belt, it will be distributed by PVR Cinemas in north India.
