Plot overview

The Sabarmati Report follows the dramatic journey of journalist Samar Kumar (Vikrant Massey), who investigates the horrific 2002 Godhra train fire in Gujarat. As Samar delves more into the truth behind the tragic event, he discovers a sinister plot hatched by influential people who will do anything to keep their secrets hidden. Years later, a different journalist, Amrita Gill (Raashii Khanna), unearths his secret report after Manika Rajpurohit (Riddhi Dogra) tries to halt his probe. With Samar's previous discoveries at her side, she relentlessly pursues the truth, becoming entangled in a web of deceit and corruption. They expose themselves to danger in their pursuit of the truth, determined to uncover the plot. A fascinating and high-stakes adventure involving bravery, corruption, and the pursuit of justice awaits.

The filmmaker behind The Sabarmati Report, Dheeraj Sarna, stated that his vision with this film was to present an honest, unflinching portrayal of a pivotal moment in history.
