Lokesh Kanagaraj's blockbuster film Vikram which was dropped on Disney+ Hotstar after a month of its theatrical release is now available on another digital platform. The Kamal Haasan-starrer has been released on Aha Tamil, too, in 4K with Dolby Audio. However, the movie is not available for audiences in India, China and South Korea.
The news has made fans of Kamal in the overseas elated to the core. A few other big ticket Tamil films which were released in recent times, too, are available to stream on more than one OTT platform.
Vikram, which collected more than 400 crores from across the globe, is currently the highest grossing movie in Tamil Nadu. The sequel of the film, which is expected to go on floors in 2023, is one of the much-awaited projects in Kollywood.
The movie is likely to go on floors after Lokesh completes Thalapathy 67 and Kaithi 2 with Vijay and Karthi respectively. Vikram 2 is also expected to be the culmination of the complex and intriguing universe Lokesh has created with Vikram.
The film, which was bankrolled by Kamal's Raaj Kamal Films International, was released in Telugu and Hindi as well. The presence of the Ulaganayagan, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and a stunning cameo are a few highlights of the movie, apart from Anirudh's music and Anbariv's action choreography.
Vikram marked Lokesh's fourth directorial project and Kamal's return to the silver screen after a four-year hiatus. The movie's story revolves around a veteran and mysterious agent who sets out to take revenge against his son's death, with an intention to annihilate a dangerous drug cartel plaguing the society.
