Anirudh Ravichander is a busy person. The composer has his hands full with big-budget projects like Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Indian 2, Dhanush's Thiruchitrambalam, Rajinikanth's Thalaivar 169 and AK 62, among others. Apart from being a composer, he also turned out to be a much-sought-after singer by other composers. He has sung many hit songs for other musicians like AR Rahman (Mersalaayiten), Nivas K Prasanna (Hey Mama), Sam CS (Yanji Yanji), Santhosh Narayana (Buji), and Hip Hop Tamizha (Takkunu Takkunu).

The latest information is that the Kolaveri boy will be making his debut as a talk show host, for aha, a regional OTT platform. This will be an added advantage for the fondly called ‘rockstar’ that might help his musical career, too!

A source tells OTTplay, "This is expected to launch somewhere in June. The celebrity talk show will see Anirudh hosting personalities from different backgrounds to participate. Everything is currently in the documentation process."

In an interview, Anirudh had told The Hindu, "Music was always a part of my career, but then, I was good at academics too. I was three when I started playing the piano and my family encouraged me. After Class XII, I got admission into NUS, Singapore, but I wanted to be here and make music for movies. There were little wars at home then. Luckily, things fell in place; 3 came and there was no looking back. Had ‘Kolaveri’ not happened, I’d still be waging those wars, I guess.

With time, he has matured. Anirudh added, "The introvert in me doesn’t exist anymore; he’s probably there, but not in the open. I feel that’s a good thing; you have to be like that if you want to be a performer."

On singing for the other composers, Anirudh told the Hindu, "When I listen to the song, I always think of it as my song. I think about what kind of vocals I’d do. If the composer likes it, he retains it… else I take their input. Singing is not something I set out to do — so, I don’t take money. I enjoy singing and I’m happy that composers are calling me."

Anirudh’s latest releases include Thalapathy Vijay's Beast, Sivakarthikeyan's Don, and Vignesh Shivn's Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal.
