Vikram Chatterjee has been busy with his new releases and shootings. After the second season of the historical thriller Rudrabinar Obhishaap on Hoichoi, his Kuler Achaar with Madhumita Sarcar was released in theatres. Meanwhile, the actor got busy shooting Aritra Sen’s Sohorer Ushnotomo Dine with his TV co-star Solanki Roy. Meanwhile, his next film, Atanu Ghosh’s Shesh Pata, will soon be released. In a chat with Etimes, the actor shared his emotion of enjoying the monsoon.

Talking about his love for the city during this season, Vikram said that Kolkata looks beautiful and poetic when it pours. He also mentioned that he enjoys petrichor – the smell of the soil when it rains. Admiring the natural beauty, he said, “The best part is that the trees look so green and fresh during this time.”

Talking about Monsoon, Vikram said, “Like many others, I too have excessively romanticised how the Ganges looks when it rains! It’s cinematic and romantic.” He also mentioned that he loves almost everything in Kolkata during the monsoon, except the waterlogging on the streets. He further revealed that homemade khichdi with aloo bhaja, begun bhaja and papad are his obvious favourite food items this season. “And ginger tea is a must when it rains!” he said.

Meanwhile, the Kuler Achaar actor chose hometime over a long drive during the rain. He said he prefers sitting at home and sipping a cup of tea is “a treat to the senses and magical in many ways”. “If not home, I’d love to be in the hills during July-August. The feeling is inexplicable — I believe it’s what heaven must feel like,” he said.
