Vikram Betal to make a comeback on Star Jalsha loaded with nostalgia

The nostalgia of Vikram and Betal will be back soon on television. Star Jalsha has recently dropped the promo of their newest show Vikram Betal which features Joy Mukherjee as Vikram and Subhashish Mukherjee as Betal. The show will start on September 5 and will be telecasted at 5 pm every day.

Star Jalsha has dropped a number of new shows, including Nabab Nandini in the place of Bouma Ekghor, Madhabilata in the place of Mon Phagun and Ekka Dokka, which replaced Aay Tobe Sohochori. The channel has also dropped the promo for Haragouri Pice Hotel, however, the telecast date and time are yet to be finalised. 

Meanwhile, Vikram Betal has been slotted already. It has replaced Khelaghor. While Shantu and Purna’s love story ran for two years, it has lost its popularity. It ended after 630 episodes. This will be a break from the usual family drama on the channel. The show involves a lot of VFX and special effects. It will be based on the traditional story of Betal Panchabingshati. 

Brave king Vikram and the spirit of Betal embark on a journey. The promo shows how Vikram fights a number of challenges. 

The promo starts with Betal hissing at Vikram saying, “Who keeps a ghost on the shoulder? It can wring your neck and kill you.” To this, the king says, “As long as I am holding your hand you cannot do anything.”

Viewers shared mixed opinions after the show was launched. While some people argued that Radha Krishna’s love story could have been a better choice. Several others are happy with the nostalgia of the deadly duo, Betal and Vikram.
