The much-awaited trailer of Vijay's upcoming film, Leo, was released last evening at 6.30 pm. And since then, the trailer has already clocked 25 million views. The film, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is all set to drop in theatres on October 6.

Leo trailer strikes big
The trailer was released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi. While the Tamil trailer has clocked 25.6 million, the Telugu trailer has clocked 4.3 million and the Kannada trailer has clocked 6 lakh views until now. The Hindi trailer was released later and it has clocked 3.6 million views. The trailer has made a record-breaking entry.

Trailer receives mixed reactions
Meanwhile, the trailer has received mixed reactions. While many have called it a satisfying one and fans have been going gaga over the same, enjoying every bit of the trailer, many others have called it disappointing. In fact, the hashtag disappointing did the rounds on social media last evening and many called it underwhelming and not worth the hype.

Vijay in dual roles
Vijay is said to be playing a dual role in the film, one of which is that of a family man, married to Trisha. He is mistaken for another person with whom he bears a striking resemblance. It looks like the family is on a run from these unknown enemies. On a parallel note, an adept cop is on a mission to nab a serial offender, who has been on a killing spree. But unlike the previous films, it doesn't look like the film has an LCU connection, much to the disappointment of fans.

Star cast and crew
The star cast includes Vijay, Trisha, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Gautham Menon, Mysskin, Sandy Master, Mathew Thomas, Mansoor Ali Khan to name a few. Music is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa and editing by Philomin Raj. The film is bankrolled by Seven Screen Studio and The Route.
