As part of the ongoing promotion for the series Dahaad, Vijay posted a sweet photo to his Instagram account on Sunday showing his mother's reaction to his becoming one of the most eligible bachelors in town. Vijay's mother was pictured holding a newspaper that included an ad for him with the headline "Wanted Bride."

In the photo's caption, he wished his mother a joyous Mother's Day, stating, "Happy Mother’s Day, momma. Campaign and all is fine, but how do I explain this to my mom? @primevideoin? @excelmovies @tigerbabyofficial. #DahaadOnPrime."

The film also features Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaideep Ahlawat in the lead roles and will premiere on Netflix. He has also been filming the Homi Adajania-directed movie Murder Mubarak, which features Sara Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, and others in the lead roles. The release dates for both films have yet to be announced.
