The film helmed by Ponram is said to be a rural entertainer

The first-look poster of Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi's next helmed by director Ponram is out. The film, which was until now being referred to as VJS46, has been titled DSP. Taking to his social media handle, Vijay Sethupathi shared the first look of the film in which he is seen as a cop riding a bike. The shoot for the film has already been wrapped up.
The star cast also includes former Miss India pageant winner Anukreethy Vas, Pugazh and Shivani. Music for the film is by D Imman, cinematography by Dinesh Krishnan and editing is by Vivek Harshan. The rest of the details of the teaser and trailer are yet to be out. The film, which is bankrolled by Stone Bench Productions, is expected to hit screens in December
In the meantime, Karthik Subbarak took to his social media handle to wish the team, "Happy to announce and reveal the first look of @stonebenchers next film starring @VijaySethuOffl #VJS46 is #DSP. In theatres this December 2022. Directed by @ponramvvs A @immancomposer musical. Produced by @kaarthekeyens @kalyanshankar @anukreethy_vas (sic)."
Director Vignesh Shivan, who had worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kadhal put up an adorable post wishing the actor and wrote, "Vazhthukal my Herovaeee seeing u in Cop role is exciting as always Wishing for a blockbuster of a movie with a superb team & a new combination #DSP (sic)."
Vijay Sethupathi currently has a slew of films in his kitty, which includes Viduthalai, Jawan, Merry Christmas, Mumbaikar and Michael. While the actor will be seen as a Vaathiyar in Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai, he will be teaming up with Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee's Jawan and Katrina Kaif in Jawan. Mumbaikar is a remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Maanagaram, which will be helmed by Santosh Sivan and has Vikrant Massey along with VSP. In Michael, Vijay Sethupathi will team up with Sundeep Kishan.
