“It will concentrate more on how Vathiyar's life began, the evolution his life had and what he understood from it. The film will concentrate on both him and the aftermath of what happened from the events you saw in the first half. We are currently shooting portions concentrating on Vathiyar's life, how did he begin as Tamil teacher, how he learnt about the people around him,” the actor added. While rumours were speculating that Manju Warrier will also be seen in the film, Vijay Sethupathi said that her potions have not been shot yet.
Vijay Sethupathi also revealed that initially his portions were to be shot only for eight days, but after the initial days of shooting, the makers had enough fodder for the character. Eventually, the actor ended up shooting for about 100 days for Viduthalai.
Recently both parts of the film were screened at the prestigious International Film Festival Rotterdam. It received a standing ovation. Directed by Vetri Maaran, Viduthalai is about the people movement against the systematic oppression by those in power.
