In line with this, the actor attended a press event in Kerala. Alongside speaking about his film, Vijay Sethupathi was all praise for Mammootty’s 2023 film Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam. Speaking at the event, Vijay Sethupathi was asked if he would act in Malayalam films, to which he answered positively and said was ready for it. The actor was also asked about Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, the 2023 Malayalam film which starred Mammootty in the lead role.
Vijay Sethupathi was all praise for the film and called it a beautiful one. He also revealed that he had suggested the film to many people. “Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam is a fantastic film and I believe that in some way the film cleanses my heart. What a performance by Mammootty sir, and there is no way I can put them into words. Sometimes stories can be open-ended, but that film’s character itself was open-ended for me. It is how you see him,” Vijay Sethupathi said.
The actor also went on to praise Mammootty’s performance in the film, and picked up scenes and characters from Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam to explain it. From his answer, one could see how Vijay Sethupathi has been impressed by the film. He also spoke about introducing the film to many people, including filmmakers.
