Actor Ajith lost his father PS Mani early this morning after a long battle with stroke. Condolences have been pouring for the actor from across the world. Though Ajith had sent out a statement that the last rites of his father would be strictly a family affair, some of his well wishers from the film industry, visited the actor in person to offer their condolences.

Ajith and Vijay may be onscreen rivals, but the duo enjoy a cordial relationship off screen. The actor paid his last respects to Ajith's father. Videos of the Varisu actor's car going inside Ajith's house are doing the rounds on social media. Fans are both the actors, are calling it a sign of true friendship
In the meantime, a few others from the industry, including Udhayanidhi Stalin, too, seem to have visited Ajith at his residence in Injambakkam, Chennai. After the visit, Udhayanidhi wrote on his social media handle, "I am saddened to hear the news of the death of actor Ajith Kumar's beloved father Mr PS Mani due to ill health. We went to Ajith's residence and paid our respects to his father...Condolences to the family (sic)." Directors AR Murugadoss and Magizh Thirumeni, who is said to be directing Ajith's upcoming project, tentatively referred to as AK62 were also spotted at the actor's residence.
Prasanna wrote after visiting Ajith, "Deepest condolences to #AjithKumar sir and his family upon the passing away of his father Mr Subramaniam. May the departed rest in peace #omshanthi (sic)."
Kamal Haasan wrote on his social media handle, "I was saddened to hear the news of Brother #Ajithkumar's father Mr Subramaniam's demise. My condolences to Ajith Kumar and his family on the loss of their father (sic)."
GM Sundar, who was part of Ajith's Thunivu, wrote, "My deepest condolences to Mr. Ajith Kumar and his family during this difficult time. May you find comfort in the memories you shared with your loved one, and may they rest in peace (sic)."
Silambarasan TR, who is a self-confessed fan of Ajith, wrote, "My sincere condolences to Ajith sir & his family on the demise of his father MR P.S Mani. May god give you & your family strength through this difficult time & may his soul rest in peace (sic)."
Calling Ajith's father a caring person, Vikram wrote, "My heartfelt condolences to Ajith, his mother and family. The loss of one’s dad .. especially someone as caring and sweet as Subramaniam uncle can never be compensated. May his soul rest in peace. Stay strong Ajith (sic)."
