Popular actor Vijay, who recently launched his political party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, unveiled the party's official flag in Chennai. The flag features two elephants and a vaagai flower.

Actor Vijay who enjoys a popular and massive fanbase, had announced his political entry earlier this year. The actor had launched his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam. On Thursday, Vijay launched the official flag of his party at an event held in Chennai.
On Thursday, actor Vijay who has now assumed the identity as the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam political party, launched the official flag. Divided horizontally into three segments, with the top ones in red and the middle in yellow, the flag features two elephants with vaagai flower (Albizia lebbeck) in the middle. Vijay also hosted the flag at the party's headquarters in Panaiyur where the party's anthem was also played.
Speaking at the event, Vijay said, "This is a special day for me, and I am proud to be have launched the flag for my people. So far, we worked for ourselves, but for the years to come, we will be working for the welfare of Tamil Nadu and its people. We will soon reveal the meaning of our flag. It is not just a flag, but the victory of our future.”
Vijay had announced that his party will be contesting in the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections. The actor had also said that he will be quitting cinema soon. After his upcoming film The GOAT, Vijay is expected to do a film with H Vinoth before retiring from cinema.
Vijay’s first release after announcing his political entry, will be The GOAT- Greatest of All Time. The film will hit big screens on September 5 and directed by Venkat Prabhu. It has completed censor formalities and received U/A certificate.
After The GOAT, Vijay will work with filmmaker H Vinoth for a film tentatively titled Thalapathy 69. The director had earlier said that it will be completely a Vijay film and be free of any political references.
