Vijay Deverakonda has teamed up with star producer Dil Raju for a film titled Family Star. The film is nearing its completion and will be out in January 2024 as a Snakranthi special. But the sad part is that the OTT rights of the film are yet to be locked.

Going into details, Dil Raju approached both Netflix and Amazon Prime for the digital rights but we have come to know that these streaming giants did not show much interest in buying the rights of Family Drama.

One of the sources close to Dil Raju has revealed to us that Netflix has bagged the OTT rights of Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram and Amazon Prime has the OTT rights of Venkatesh's Saindhav. As both these films will be out on Sankranthi 2024, these streaming giants did not want to spend on yet another film that also releases during the same time and hence backed out.

The source also adds that Dil Raju is trying hard and is currently negotiating with them to fix the OTT deal. Family Star is being directed by Parasuram and is being made on a moderate budget. As it is a family drama, Dil Raju feels that Sankranthi 2024 is a perfect time to release the film.

But the film is yet to be wrapped up and the makers are yet to lock the release date which is one of the reasons for these streaming giants not showing any interest in buying the right of Family Star. Mrunal Thakur plays the female lead in this film whose teaser went viral a few days ago.
