Vijay Antony's Tamilarasan to now release on THIS date, meanwhile HERE's the status of Pichaikkaran 2

Vijay Antony's long-delayed Tamilarasan has now got a new release date. The latest we hear is that the film will hit screens next week on April 21. Tamilarasan, is directed by Babu Yogeswaran and has Ramya Nambeesan as the leading lady. The film's release has been pushed multiple times and fans were earlier excited that it would atleast release on Tamil Puthaandu. But with almost six to seven films lining up for release, the makers decided to push the release once again for better screens.

It looks like Vijay Antony plays a man who gets caught in a dreaded network in Tamilarasan, which also marks the comeback of Suresh Gopi and Sonu Sood in Tamil films. The supporting cast of the film includes Robo Shankar, Radha Ravi, Yogi Babu, Munishkanth and Sangeetha Krish. Music is by maestro Ilaiyaraaja, cinematography by RD Rajasekhar and editing by AL Ramesh and Bhuvan Srinivasan.

Meanwhile, Vijay Antony's Pichaikkaran 2, which was slated for release on April 14, has been battling a court case. Recent reports had cited that Mangadu Movies owner Raja Ganapathi had filed a case in the Chennai High Court calling for a ban on the Vijay Antony film. He had alleged that some of the scenes were copied from an old film (R Pandiyarajan's Aayvukoottam , which released in 2016) from the production house.

 He stated that the film revolved around brain transplant surgery and that going by the trailer of Pichaikkaran 2, it looks like the makers had copied the film. Since the scenes and dialogues were already used, he demanded for a ban on Pichaikkaran 2 and urged that the movie shouldn't be allowed to release anywhere.

Vijay Antony's lawyer stated that the film was about to release only in May and hence, requested to allow the film to be released. Meanwhile the case has been adjourned to April 18.
