Director Vignesh Shivan has come up with a clarification on liking a post that spoke about an alleged rift between Leo director and Vijay after the release of the first single in the film, Naa Ready. In the last few days, speculations have been rife about an alleged fall-out between the actor-director duo. However, neither Lokesh nor Vijay has opened up on the rumours. Meanwhile, we hear that these speculations are just that, rumours.

The controversial post about Lokesh Kanagaraj and Vijay
Vignesh Shivan recently liked a post by a social media user that claimed that Lokesh Kanagaraj has stopped using the name of Vijay for the film's promotions. He later removed his 'like'.

The post, which carries a clip of Lokesh Kanagaraj talking about Thalaivar 171 read," @Dir_Lokesh sir, We all know what happened between you and @actorvijay after #NaaReady song release and we clearly know why would you have to remove #Leo hashtag and to not to use #Vijay 's name in any of your promotions after that... Also we know the reason suddenly out of nowhere why do you have to add the Leo hashtag again and use #Thalapathy Vijay 's name again... Its Okay... Let's move on and call past as a past (sic)."

Soon after Vignesh liked and removed the post, the user claimed that Vignesh Shivan knew the truth behind the incident and hence, reacted to the post.
