Vidyut Jammwal announces new biopic, Sher Singh Raana, helmed by Shree Narayan Singh

Vidyut Jammwal, who has made a name for himself as one of the most skilled action stars in the country, is gearing up to tackle a different kind of challenge of late. The actor announced that he will star in a biographical film. The film, titled Sher Singh Raana, will be directed by Shree Narayan Singh.

Jammwal took to his official social media handles to make the announcement, sharing a title poster for the film as well. In addition to the film’s title, the poster also features the words, “He undertook the journey, to bring back the 800 year old pride of India- the ashes of Prithviraj Chauhan. Witness the real story of an unreal man!”

In a statement, Jammwal talked about his excitement for the project, referring to Ranaa as a ‘fearless’ person. Director Singh also opened up about his upcoming collaboration with Jammwal, where the latter will be seen taking on a character, he had ‘never attempted before’. “It is about this man whose sole focus was to do something for his nation,” added the filmmaker.

The upcoming film will be bankrolled by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali and Vishal Gurnani along with Vishal Tyagi and Mohammed Imran Khan. The film will be produced under the banners of Bhanushali Studios Ltd and Matargashti Films.

Meanwhile, Jammwal, was last seen in the film Sanak and also served as a host on the action reality show, India's Ultimate Warrior. The star is currently awaiting the release of his action films such as Khuda Haafiz Chapter II and IB 71.
