Vidyut Jammwal is coming back to the silver screen to sweep viewers off their feet yet again in another memorable action avatar. The actor recently announced his next venture, touted to be India’s first extreme sports action film. Titled Crakk, the film will see him share the screen with Jacqueline Fernandez and Arjun Rampal.
In addition to starring, Vidyut will also produce the project. The film will see the celebrated action star engage in a range of extreme sports stunts. Crakk’s story revolves around the journey of a man who rises from the Mumbai slums and tries to find his place in the world of extreme underground sports.
In a statement, Vidyut said “Looking at the current scenario and the way the audiences have changed, I have realized that everyone puts limits on everything they do, and it spreads in work, and the environment. This changing scenario has confirmed that there are no limits but only plateaus and we must not stay there. We must go beyond them. Hence a movie on extreme sports from India”.
The upcoming film will be written and directed by Aditya Datt. The filmmaker said “Crakk is a script I have been working from the last 4 years, to up the game and challenge oneself, by narrating a story that has sports, gaming, action, drama and thrill”.
Jacqueline also expressed her excitement to be a part of the ‘unique’ film, saying that she was really impressed by the film’s script. She also added that she was looking forward to working with Vidyut and the rest of the cast and crew.
Arjun was all praise for Vidyut, whom he called a ‘phenomenal’ athlete. The former also added that he learnt something from Vidyut everyday, and the action star’s commitment and dedication were truly commendable.
Crakk is produced under the banner of Action Hero Films & PZ Pictures. Filming for the movie has already begun in Poland and Crakk is slated for release some time next year.
