National Award-winning actor Vidya Balan is thrilled about having a theatrical release after three years. As Neeyat is set to release on July 7, she is both nervous and excited. In a press conference held earlier today in Mumbai, the actor urged the audience to go to theatres to watch her film.

In the last three years, Vidya has starred in three films: Shakuntala Devi, Sherni, and Jalsa. All of them were released on OTT and did well. 

Now that she is gearing up for a theatrical release, she was asked if she likes being called a 'Bollywood star' or a 'Bollywood actor'.

To this, Vidya replied, "I want to be called an acting star." 

When asked if she is nervous ahead of Neeyat's release, she said, "Yes, a little bit, but I think that (before the release of any film) I always feel excited and nervous. Right now, I cannot tell the difference since it feels the same to me. I like that people have expectations of me and of this film. I am very grateful for that. I am very hopeful that people will enjoy the film. Theatre pahunch jao, bas!"

Making her debut in Bollywood films with Parineeta in 2005, Vidya delivered powerful performances in films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa, The Dirty Picture, Kahaani, Ishqiya, Paa, No One Killed Jessica, and Tumhari Sulu, among many others.

Neeyat is produced by Abundantia Entertainment and also stars Ram Kapoor, Shahana Goswami, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Niki Walia, and Prajakta Koli. it releases in theatres on July 7.
