Vetri Maaran is known for its raw and rustic style of filmmaking and Viduthalai is no exception. The film, which is an adaptation of B Jeyamohan's Thunaivan, revolves around the emotions of an honest and earnest cop. Soori, who plays a police constable in the film, is roped in for an operation to catch Vaathiyar, a leader of a 'separatist' group.
Viduthalai marks Soori's debut as an actor
Ace comedian Soori turns a new leaf as he makes his debut as a lead actor in the film. Soori has earlier revealed that Vetri Maaran had narrated two scripts to him before Viduthalai, but both didn't materialise due to various reasons. He also added that it was quite challenging playing the lead character. He has also performed some heavy-duty stunts in the film.
