Vidaamuyarchi update: Ajith Kumar’s film in final leg of shooting; SEE new photos

The new Vidaamuyarchi update is here! The Ajith Kumar-starrer film is in the final leg of shooting, the makers of the film revealed on social media on Tuesday, as they dropped new photos of the cast. The team also confirmed that the film will be hitting theatres for Pongal 2025 in January. A release date is yet to be announced.

Vidaamuyarchi update: Ajith Kumar’s film nears completion

While we had earlier reported that the upcoming Tamil film Vidaamuyarchi is scheduled to hit theatres for Pongal 2025, the makers on Tuesday announced that the shooting is in the final stages. The team dropped new photos of Ajith Kumar who looks dapper in a white and black suit, as he poses alongside Trisha, director Magizh Thirumeni and cinematographer Om Prakash.

Ajith Kumar’s Vidaamuyarchi is once again reaffirmed to be released for Pongal 2025 in January. An exact release date is yet to be announced. The film, backed by Lyca Productions, is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni in his maiden collaboration with Ajith Kumar. The film has music by Anirudh Ravichander. As per reports, the film is said to be a remake of the Hollywood film Breakdown. However, it has not been confirmed by the makers.

Ajith’s new looks from Good Bad Ugly goes viral

Ajith Kumar is also working on the Tamil film Good Bady Ugly, which is directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers. Recently, the director released a few BTS photos of Ajith from the sets, which went viral on social media. Netizens hailed Ajith’s transformation and clean-shaven look, as he seemed to have reduced oodles of weight.

While Good Bady Ugly was also scheduled to release for Pongal 2025, it is not yet clear, given that Vidaamuyarchi makers have been reinstating their release in January. Actors Prasanna and Arjun Das are also part of Good Bad Ugly.
