Vidaamuyarchi release date locked; Ajith Kumar’s film to release on THIS day?

Vidaamuyarchi, the highly anticipated Ajith Kumar starrer, was delayed multiple times due to various technical reasons. After the release of the Vidaamuyarchi teaser, expectations are riding high for the sleek action film. The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, is now confirmed to hit the theatres during the Pongal season of 2025. As per the reports, the makers of the Ajith Kumar starrer have finally locked the film’s release date, after a long wait.

Vidaamuyarchi release date locked?

If the recent updates are to be believed, the makers of Vidaamuyarchi have finalised the release date of Ajith Kumar’s film. The Magizh Thirumeni directorial is reportedly slated to hit the big screen across the globe on January 10, 2025, ahead of the Pongal celebrations. The grapevine suggests that the team is keen to finalise Friday, January 10, as the release date, as there are no other major releases on that slot, so far.

However, the makers of Vidaamuyarchi will officially announce the release date of the film, only after director Magizh Thirumeni and his team wrap up the film’s post-production works. If things go as planned, the official release date of Ajith Kumar’s ambitious film will be revealed, along with either a new poster or the most awaited Vidaamuyarchi trailer, by the end of December 2024. An official announcement on the same is expected to be out soon.

Vidaamuyarchi: Plot, cast, and crew

If the reports are to be believed, Vidaamuyarchi revolves around a middle-aged man’s thrilling journey to find his estranged wife, who goes missing under mysterious circumstances. Ajith Kumar plays the protagonist in the film, which stars Trisha Krishnan in the role of his wife. The highly anticipated project, which marks the actor’s first onscreen collaboration with director Magizh Thirumeni, is loosely based on the 1997-released American film, Breakdown.

Arjun Sarja plays the lead antagonist in the film, which stars Regina Cassandra, Arav, Sravan, Nikhil Nair, Dasarathi, Ganesh, and others in the supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and the original score for the film. Om Prakash and Nirav Shah are the directors of photography. NB Srikanth handles the editing.
