Vidaamuyarchi release date: Arjun Sarja drops a major update on Ajith Kumar’s film

Vidaamuyarchi, the action thriller which stars Ajith Kumar in the lead role, is one of the most anticipated upcoming projects in the Tamil film industry. The movie, which marks Ajith’s 62nd outing in Tamil cinema, is helmed by Magizh Thirumeni. Recently, it was reported that the release of the long-awaited film has been pushed to 2025, owing to the series of releases lined up in 2024. However, senior actor Arjun Sarja recently confirmed that Vidaamuyarchi will hit the theatres in 2024, as planned.

Arjun Sarja, the senior actor, is appearing as the lead antagonist in Vidaamuyarchi. The popular star, who recently attended the SIIMA 2024 event in Dubai, opened up about the upcoming Ajith Kumar starrer and dropped a highly exciting update. According to Arjun Sarja, he recently finished filming for the climax fight sequence of the Magizh Thirumeni directorial. The actor further added that Vidaamuyarchi will be released in two to three months, mostly in December 2024.

The new update came out as a big relief for both Ajith Kumar fans and Tamil cinema audiences, who were disappointed with reports of the delay in the action thriller’s release. As reported earlier, the highly anticipated Vidaamuyarchi teaser is gearing up to have its official release in a few days. If things fall in place, the makers of the Magizh Thirumeni directorial will officially announce the film’s release date, along with the upcoming teaser. An official confirmation on the same is expected to be out soon.

If the reports are to be believed, Vidaamuyarchi is a loose adaptation of the 1997-released American film, Breakdown. Ajith Kumar appears as the protagonist in the Magizh Thirumeni directorial, while Trisha Krishnan appears in the role of his wife, Pallavi. Arjun Sarja plays the lead antagonist in the film, which features Regina Cassandra, Arav, Nikhil Nair, Ganesh Saravanan, Dasarathi, and others who will essay pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the songs and the original score. Om Prakash is the director of photography. NB Srikanth handles the editing.
