Vidaa Muyarchi Vs Kanguva: Are these two biggies set to clash for Diwali 2024?

Tamil cinema has been facing a dry spell at the box office ever since this year began. Even though there have been sporadic good releases like the recently out Garudan, Lover, and Blue Star, the industry is still waiting for a solid blockbuster that would not only create waves at the box office but also overwhelm the critics.

Now, halfway through 2024, and many star-studded biggies lined up for release, rumours are speculated that two star films are said to clash at the box office for Diwali 2024. Read on further to know what these films are.

Vidaa Muyarchi to clash with Kanguva?

As per speculations, Ajith Kumar-starrer Vidaa Muyarchi and Kanguva featuring Suriya in the lead role, are eyeing for a release for Diwali. However, an official confirmation on the same are yet to be announced by the makers. Both the film, which are made on huge budgets, have been two among the anticipated films from Tamil cinema and have been in the making for a while now. If the news is indeed true, the Diwali box office is sure to see bustling crowds, given both Ajith and Suriya have massive fan following in Tamil Nadu.

Kanguva is directed by filmmaker Siva and also stars Disha Patani, Bobby Deol, Yogi Babu and others. The film is in the final stages of post-productions and is backed by Studio Green. Kanguva is billed to be a fantasy action drama that will span across thousands of years. Devi Sri Prasad is scoring music for the film, which is expected to be released in multiple languages, including international ones.

Helmed by Magizh Thirumeni, Vidaa Muyarchi is an action thriller with Ajith in the lead role. Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead in the film which also stars Arjun Sarja, Regina Cassandra, and Arav in other pivotal roles. Lyca Productions is bankrolling the film, which has music by Anirudh Ravichander.
