Ever since Ajith's Vidaa Muyarchi was officially announced by Lyca Productions, speculations have been rife about the film's leading lady. And Trisha has been the frontrunner in the race. Now, we hear that Trisha is indeed on board.

Trisha's fifth collaboration with Ajith
Trisha and Ajith had worked together in a number of projects, including Ji (2005), Kireedam (2007), Mankatha (2011) and Yennai Arindhaal (2015). Trisha has always maintained that she admired Ajith and that she was a huge fan of the actor. If Trisha teams up with Ajith again, Vidaa Muyarchi will mark her fifth film with the actor. The makers are yet to make an official announcement. The name of Arjun Das is also doing the rounds on the internet.

Shoot to begin Abu Dhabi
It looks like the team is in the final stages of location recce. The shoot is expected to kick-start later this month in Abu Dhabi. Vidaa Muyarchi is said to be heavy on action. The film, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, marks the director's maiden collaboration with the Thunivu star. Taking to his social media handle, the Kalagathalaivan doctor had shared, "Thank you #AjithKumar Sir for this greatest opportunity to work with you for the prestigious #VidaaMuyarchi May 22 Game start (sic)."

Lyca Production announces Vidaa Muyarchi on May 1
The film was announced on the occasion of Ajith's birthday (May 1). Lyca Productions, which is bankrolling the film, had written on its social media handle, "Wishing the man of Persistence, Passion and Hard work Our dearest #AjithKumar sir a Happy B'day It’s time for Celebration now...! Our next film with Mr. #AK is titled #VidaaMuyarchi "EFFORTS NEVER FAIL" and will be directed by the cult film-maker #MagizhThirumeni (sic)."

Ajith was last seen in H Vinoth's Thunivu, which hit screens for Pongal along with Vijay's Varisu. The actor took a break from acting thereafter and took off on his world bike tour, RIDE for Mutual Respect.
