The audio launch of P Vasu's Chandramukhi 2 was held at a popular college in Chennai. The event was attended by the movie's cast and crew, including the likes of MM Keeravani, Raghava Lawrence, and Kangana Ranaut among others. They spoke about their experiences of having worked in the film.

One of the highlights of the event was the speech delivered by Subaskaran of Lyca Productions which has bankrolled the project. The horror drama is one of the few films bankrolled by the production house this year. Their next outing, starring Rajinikanth, Thalaivar 170 (tentative plans), is going on floors soon.

Ajith's Vidaa Muyarchi is their most-awaited film of 2023. The film which was announced a while ago is yet to commence. In fact, there are rumours doing the rounds regarding the project getting dropped. The lack of updates on the movie has fueled the speculations.

Subaskaran has clarified at the audio event that the team is busy with the pre-production and that the shooting of Vidaa Muyarchi is expected to begin soon. This has put an end to all rumours, leaving fans of Ajith elated. The action drama helmed by Magizh Thirumeni is likely to be out as a summer release in 2024.

The project which was initially titled AK 62 had Vignesh Shivan as the director, but with a different story. The director later opted out of the movie owing to creative differences with producers.

AK 62 was supposed to hit the screens this year; it was scheduled to begin as soon as Ajith's Thunivu was released in January. However, the unexpected happenings led to the delay in pre-production and scripting.
