Triptii Dimri is currently busy promoting her upcoming family drama film, Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She will be seen alongside Rajkummar Rao. Ahead of the movie’s release in October, the makers dropped a dreamy romantic song titled ‘Tum Jo Mile Ho’. Triptii, who is from Uttarakhand, recently recalled relatives who warned her parents that nobody would marry her once she became an actor.

Triptii Dimri recalls relatives' mean comment about her acting career

Triptii has starred in several critically acclaimed films, including Laila Majnu, Qala, and Bulbbul. She recently became everyone's favorite and earned the tag of the national crush and Bhabhi No. 2 after her stint in Ranbir Kapoor's Animal. Amid the promotions of Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, the actress recently spoke about how her relatives said mean things to her parents when she decided to become an actress.

Recalling their taunts and remarks on her acting gig, she revealed that some relatives advised her parents not to send her to the entertainment industry and how she would end up in the wrong circle of people that would eventually leave her with no suitors for marriage. “Why have you sent your daughter to this profession? She is going to get spoiled; she will hang out with the wrong people, she is going to make wrong choices for herself, no one is going to want to marry her, she is not going to get married now,” Triptii shared in an interview with Kay Beauty’s YouTube channel.

The 30-year-old actress also revealed that there was a low point when she almost gave up on her acting career and even had second thoughts about leaving the industry. “There was a point when I was confused, because, you know, you lose hope when you get up and there is no work. But one thing I knew was that I could not go back to my parents and tell them, ‘No, I have not done it,” she added.

On the professional front, Triptii has a busy year ahead. Apart from Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, she has Dhadak 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in the pipeline.
