As per early estimates by Sacnilk, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video maintained a steady pace at the box office on day three. Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri's comedy film minted Rs 6.25 crore. Considering it, the first weekend collection of Raaj Shaandilyaa's movie is Rs 18.65 crore. On the other hand, Jigra's first weekend collection is Rs 16.75 crore.
The story of VVKWWV revolves around the lives of Vicky and Vidya. They are on a hunt to retrieve a CD after it gets stolen. The film is set in the 1990s. Besides Rajkummar and Triptii, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video features Mallika Sherawat, Vijay Raaz, Archana Puran Singh, and others.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter India, Triptii Dimri spoke about working with Rajkummar Rao and Archana Puran Singh in VVKWWV. She said, "It was a full-on comedy, and when you’re acting with Rajkummar Rao, Archana Puran Singh, such brilliant actors, you’re like, ‘How are they doing it?’ We would perform, and there would be crew members and background artists who would just laugh. Rajkummar can finish a two-page monologue in one go, without messing up the lines."
