We know that Chhava, the much-awaited Bollywood film, starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna, is currently being filmed. The shooting of the movie started in October 2023. Directed by Laxman Utekar, Chhava is a historical drama with Vicky in the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Rashmika as Yesubai Bhonsale, Sambhaji Maharaj's wife. On Wednesday, unseen photos from the movie sets surfaced online.
Unseen pics from the sets of Chhava
This evening, unseen pictures of Vicky Kaushal and team members from Chhava sets surfaced online. In the pictures, we see Vicky donning his right arm – which was once fractured during the shoot of the film. Also, speaking from the fashion lens, Vicky chose to wear a grey t-shirt with black pants. He added charm to his look by donning reddish-black sunglasses.
What is special about Chhava?
Chhava is a period drama featuring Vicky starring as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the eldest son of the legendary warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and the creator of the Maratha empire. Rashmika, on the other hand, will play the role of Yesubai Bhonsale, Sambhaji Maharaj's wife. The film will explore Sambhaji's love for his wife Yesubai, while also showcasing the king's sacrifices and military strategies.
Chhava marks Laxman's foray into the period genre and his second collaboration with Vicky Kaushal after their recent 2023 blockbuster Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. The movie is produced by Maddock Films.

About a few days ago, Rashmika mentioned on No Filter Neha – a celebrity chat show, that she has wrapped up the shoot for Chhava in Hindi and is currently working on her next film, Pushpa 2.
In January, Kaushal offered a glimpse into his preparations for Chhava through his Instagram story. The snapshot showcases him sporting a muscular physique, clad in a charcoal grey T-shirt, a black headband, and sporting a thick beard with a mustache. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal also awaits the release of Bad Newz – a Dharma Production film, in the pipeline.
