After 11 months and 15 days—nearly a year—Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is finally making its way to OTT. The film, which went on to become a hit at the box office, will finally stream on JioCinema beginning on May 17, 2024. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, the romantic comedy, features Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan in the lead roles. Laxman Utekar wrote and directed the film, which Maddock Films and Jio Studios produced.

In the film, a happy Indore married couple named Kapil and Somya decide to end their marriage and start a new chapter in their lives apart. Unfortunately, their well-laid preparations go awry when their families find out about their decision, setting in motion a chain reaction of comical accidents.

Box office success despite mixed reviews
The film received mixed reviews after its theatrical debut on June 2, 2023. But Zara Hatke Zara Bachke surprised everyone by becoming a sleeper smash, earning Rs. 115.89 crore globally, all on a budget of under Rs. 40 crore.
JioCinema had originally scheduled the film's premiere for eight weeks. However, the streaming website mysteriously placed it on hold for months, leaving both producers and audiences wondering where it was.
The makers are finally ecstatic that it will finally be available on OTT and can reach millions of viewers all around the globe.
Star performances
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke made its theatrical debut on June 2, 2023, taking the place of Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee's rescheduled Jawan on September 7. Despite a shaky start, the film ended up making over Rs. 88 crore at the domestic box office, thanks to positive word-of-mouth and hit songs.
This is the first time Vicky and Sara shared the screen space, and it was also their first big screen outing since the pandemic, as they had only OTT releases for nearly three years.
