Will Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt reprise their roles?

Speaking about Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, and Siddhant Chaturvedi reprising their roles in the sequel, the source added that they believe that looks unlikely and mentioned that the success of Gully Boy 2 could lead to a third installment, where a likely reunion might be on the cards. The source added, "But let's not get ahead of ourselves. That's a possibility that's way too uncertain right now."

More about Gully Boy

In the film, Ranveer Singh played Murad, a struggling rapper, while Alia Bhatt played Murad's volatile love interest, Safeena. Siddhant Chaturvedi was seen in the role of Sher, Murad's rap guru and friend, and Kalki Koechlin played the role of Sky, a record producer who reaches out to Murad and Sher.

The film revolves around Murad, a college student from the Dharavi slums of Mumbai who discovers his passion for rap music. Murad's parents wanted him to get a white-collar job, but he realized he wanted to be a rapper. Murad befriended a local rapper who invited him to perform in underground shows and rap battles. Murad's song was inspired by the discrimination he saw while working as a driver.
