Vettaiyan OTT partner: The Rajinikanth-starrer film will be available for streaming on THIS platform

Vettaiyan, the Rajinikanth-starrer film, written and directed by filmmaker TJ Gnanavel, hit the theatres on Thursday. The star-studded film features an ensemble cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, and others. Vettaiyan, which debuted in theatres on Thursday, will soon be available on Prime Video after the film completes the theatrical run. An OTT release date is yet to be announced.

Vettaiyan is headlined by superstar Rajinikanth, in his maiden collaboration with director TJ Gnanavel who has given the critically acclaimed film Jai Bhim. A cop action drama, Vettaiyan is backed by Lyca Productions and has a star-studded cast across various industries.

The post-theatrical streaming rights of the film have been bagged by Prime Video. The film will be available on the platform once it completes the theatrical rights. However, an exact OTT release date will be mentioned by the makers after a few weeks to a month.

Apart from Rajinikanth, the film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Abirami, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and others in important roles. The film revolves around the concept of extra-judicial killings, with Rajinikanth playing an encounter specialist.

Vettaiyan is written and directed by T.J. Gnanavel, with music scored by Anirudh Ravichander. The songs Manasilaayo and Hunter Vantaar have become chartbusters. Lyca Productions is backing the film, which has the camera cranked by SR Kathir I.S.C. B Kiruthika has penned the screenplay. Other parts of the technical crew include K Kadhir as production designer, Anbariv handling the stunts, editor Philomin Raj, and art director Sakthee Venkatraj M.

Meanwhile, after Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth is working with filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj for a film titled Coolie. The film is backed by Sun Pictures and also stars Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, Nagarjuna Akkineni, and others.
