Vettaiyan, the highly anticipated Rajinikanth starrer, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on October 10, 2024. The movie, which marks the legendary superstar’s first collaboration with TJ Gnanavel, the talented filmmaker who rose to fame with the acclaimed film, Jai Bhim. As you may know, Manju Warrier, the popular Malayalam actress, is playing the female lead opposite Rajinikanth, in Vettaiyan. Recently, the actress extensively spoke about the ‘Manasilaayo’ song number, and her role in the film.
Manju Warrier about ‘Manasilaayo’ song from Vettaiyan
In a recent interview with a leading daily, Manju Warrier extensively spoke about Rajinikanth, and filming for the recent hit number ‘Manasilaayo’. According to the talented actress, she has never done a song number on such a grand scale, before in her career. For the Malayalam star, shooting with such a massive team of dance artists and the technical crew is a first-time experience. Manju Warrier also remarked that it felt nice to shoot for the first time with Rajinikanth for an Anirudh Ravichander song, which is shot with such grandeur.

The actress, who further opened up about Vettaiyan, made some interesting revelations about her character in the film. According to Manju Warrier, her character’s name is Tara, and she is a YouTube vlogger. Tara is the wife of the central character Vettaiyan, played by superstar Rajinikanth. The actress further added that her character is someone who has an important presence and influence in the protagonist’s life, which makes it more exciting. Manju stated that it was a big honour to experience Rajinikanth’s style and swag in person while working with him in TJ Gnanavel’s film.
Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood superstar, is making a cameo appearance in Vettaiyan. The TJ Gnanavel directorial features a stellar star cast including Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Kishore, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, GM Sundar, Abirami, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and others in the pivotal roles. Anirudh Ravichander composed the songs and original score. SR Kathir I.S.C is the director of photography. The Rajinikanth starrer is produced by A Subaskaran, under the banner Lyca Productions.
