Vettaiyan first single update: Manasilaayo from Rajinikanth film to release on this date

The first single from Vettaiyan, Manasilaayo, is all set to drop very soon! The makers announced on Saturday that the first track from the Rajinikanth-starrer will be released on September 9. Written and directed by filmmaker TJ Gnanavel, Vettaiyan is all set to hit theatres on October 10.

Vettaiyan is an upcoming Tamil film, starring actor Rajinikanth in the lead role. The makers have already announced the release date as October 10. Now ahead of the film's release and with just a month to go, the promotions for the film have begun. The first single from Vettaiyan, Manasilaayo, will drop on September 9, the team announced on social media on Saturday. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music for the film.

Vettaiyan is written and directed by TJ Gnanavel who last made the critically acclaimed film Jai Bhim. Backed by Lyca Productions, Vettaiyan will release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Kannada. Besides Rajinikanth, the film also stars actors from different film industries such as Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan, Ritika Singh and others, in prominent roles. The makers have not yet revealed the plot of the film.

Vettaiyan is in the post-production stages, with the cast dubbing for their portions, the latest being Rajinikanth. Touted to be a cop thriller, Vettaiyan will mark Rajinikanth’s first collaboration with the filmmaker. Anirudh Ravichander is scoring the music, with Lyca Productions backing the film. The technical crew includes cinematographer SR Kathir I.S.C, and editor Philomin Raj.

After Vettaiyan, Rajinikanth will be working with director Lokesh Kanagaraj for a film titled Coolie. The film also stars Nagarjuna, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Sathyaraj, and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles. The shooting is underway for Coolie which is produced by Sun Pictures and has music by Anirudh Ravichander again. A release date is yet to be announced.
