Vettaiyan – Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati join Rajinikanth for the Kadappa schedule of the movie

Vettaiyan, the action thriller that stars superstar Rajinikanth in the lead role, is one of the most anticipated Tamil films of 2024. The project, which marks the legendary actor’s 170th outing in cinema, is helmed by the talented director, TJ Gnanavel. As per the reports, the shooting of Vettaiyan is now nearing its final stages. The recent updates suggest that the team has kickstarted the new schedule of the Rajinikanth starrer in Kadappa, Andhra Pradesh.

Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati join Rajinikanth for Vettaiyan’s new schedule

The latest reports suggest that the makers of Vettaiyan kickstarted the new schedule of the film in Kadappa, Andhra Pradesh, recently. Director TJ Gnanavel and his team are currently busy filming some crucial sequences featuring popular actors Fahadh Faasil and Rana Daggubati. For the uninitiated, the National award-winning Malayalam actor and the popular Telugu actor-producer are playing pivotal roles in the film, which stars the superstar in the titular role. 

As per the reports, the leading man is also a part of the Kadappa schedule. The veteran actor is expected to join the team in a couple of days. Later, the team will shoot some of the pivotal scenes, featuring Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati. The new schedule of the much-awaited film is expected to be wrapped up by the first week of February 2024.

Vettaiyan – shoot and release plans

Director TJ Gnanavel and his team are planning to wrap up the entire filming of the movie, by the end of February. Immediately after that, the crew will kickstart the post-production works of Vettaiyan. If things go as planned, the highly anticipated Rajinikanth starrer will hit the big screens by the second or third week of April 2024, as a Tamil New Year special release.

Along with Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, and Rana Daggubati, many popular actors including Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, GM Sundar, and others in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander composes the songs and original score. SR Kathir is the director of photography. Philomin Raj handles the editing. Vettaiyan is bankrolled by Lyca Productions.
