“I don’t believe in ghosts or get scared, if I watch horror films/shows during the day. The situation is different during the nights (signalling that he may need to use the loo out of fear).” He said the director YG Bharath deserves credit for everything he’s done in the show. Venu called him a Buddha-like figure, a patient filmmaker in contrast to his hurriedness .

Athidhi is a product of team work; like the title, we’re all guests in this world, he added. He promised quality entertainment for viewers. Venu shared he and the director had many creative differences on how they viewed the story, but said it ultimately helped the product shape up better. He thanked Rajesh, Praveen Sattaru and Disney+ Hotstar for trusting the team with the project.

“I was worried if I would be tired being on the same set initially, but I didn’t feel like leaving it when the shoot was over. It was designed meticulously, unlike what I had imagined. It was shot much better than a film.” He credited the composer Kapil for the music score. “I liked Venkatesh Kakumanu’s role. If the director offered me the script now, I would be tempted to do his part,” he mentioned.

Venu said Avantika Mishra was a sensation on the sets and that she carried herself very well. “I and Aditi Gautam were placed in a tricky situation in the series and I didn’t know how would I handle it. I hope I did justice.” The director YG Bharath ran from pillar to post to finish the project and took care of minute details which helped the final result, he signed off.
