It was announced earlier that the makers of Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu will unveil its teaser which will be a sneak peek into the life of Muthu, the protagonist played by Silambarasan in it. The one-and-a-half minute teaser revolves around Muthu's struggles to find a job which helps him make both ends meet.

He has a mother (played by Radhika Sarath Kumar) and sister to look after. Muthu goes to a big city to earn money through different ways, starting from being a cook in a small hotel. However, he faces a slew of rejections and insults, too.

A few unanticipated situations make him literally fight back at his detractors and he even resorts to violence after a point when things become too much for him to handle. There are also moments of him celebrating happy occasions with friends. Neeraj Madhav also makes a brief appearance in the teaser.

Silambarasan's lean and fragile avatar is a treat to watch; he pulls off emotions like helplessness and valour intriguingly. AR Rahman's soulful composition which plays in the background is another highlight of the teaser. The movie marks the third collaboration of the trio Gautham Menon, AR Rahman and Silambarasan.

The other day, Silambarasan had taken to his social media page to post an unseen still from the movie and announced that he has joined the last schedule of shooting for the film. Siddhartha Nuni has cranked the camera for the movie which has Jeyamohan writing its screenplay.

Lee Whittaker and Anthony are in charge of the project's action choreography and editing respectively. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu is expected to release in the first quarter of 2022.
