The much-awaited second single from RJ Balaji's upcoming film Veetla Vishesham was released late in the night yesterday. The song is a melody sung by Sid Sriram and composed by Girishh Gopalakrishnan. Calling it one of his favourite songs from, RJ Balaji, the film's lead actor shared on his social media handle," Since we released the song really late last night, Here’s it, The தாலாட்டு பாட்டு of 2022 #PaapaPaattu from #VeetlaVishesham is here !!!👶 http://youtu.be/T6fUqure-0c One of our most favourite song in the album .!!!❤️ (sic)." Lyrics for the song is penned by Pa Vijay.
The first single, Daddy song, sung by RJ Balaji himself, was released only recently. Balaji later posted a BTS video of the making of the song, in which he is seen crooning the peppy number along with music composer Girishh Gopalakrishnan. The two-and-a-half minute video is quite a funny take on the song. It begins with Balaji calling himself 'Ezhaigalin Anirudh' (poor man's Anirudh Ravichander). Balaji said in the video that he brought composer Girishh, too, in the video as he was skeptical about the video's reception. In the video, we see Balaji asking Girishh a number of doubts, and the latter clarifying them patiently. Pa Vijay has penned the lyrics for this song as well.
Veetla Vishesham is a remake of Hindi film Badhaai Ho (starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra) and will hit screens on June 17. The film has Sathyaraj and Urvashi play Balaji's parents. The film revolves around a middle-aged couple who get pregnant much to the chagrin of their grown-up sons. The rest of the star cast includes Yogi Babu, Pugazh, Pavitra Lokesh and the late KPAC Lalitha. Balaji has doubled as the director of the film along with NJ Saravanan. They had jointly directed Balaji's previous film Mookuthi Amman as well which had Nayanthara playing the titular character.
