There’s very little that S Thaman can do wrong these days. He is in the form of his life as a composer, bagging one plum project after the other across languages, doing everything in his capacity to please the fans of the stars in his films. After scoring a tremendous hit with Akhanda, the composer is associating with Balakrishna yet again for Veera Simha Reddy, the action entertainer that’s set to hit screens on January 12, 2023. The second single from the film, Suguna Sundari, was launched today.
Suguna Sundari is a foot-tapping duet featuring the film’s lead stars Balakrishna and Shruti Haasan in a handful of exotic locations in Istanbul. Sung by Ram Miryala and Snigdha, the number is lyricised by Ramajogaiah Sastry with Sekhar master handling the dance choreography. The playful lyrics like ‘Seema kuttindhey..Sitti seema kuttindhey..Dhillu kandhipoyyelaaga..Dhittamga kuttindhey’ are matched by the equally energetic dance moves, with both the co-stars complementing each other well.
It’s no mean feat to deliver one hit number after the other, more so in the mainstream space and it’s a herculean task to please music buffs consistently and generate hype for a film. Suguna Sundari yet again proves that Thaman knows his audience quite well. This is also director Gopichandh Malineni’s sixth film with the composer and it shows how both back each other’s capabilities strongly. On Youtube too, the film has clocked nearly 2.5 million views in just 9 hours.
Duniya Vijay is set to make his Telugu debut with Veera Simha Reddy while the film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Naveen Chandra and Chandrika Ravi in a special appearance. Rishi Punjabi cranks the camera for the same and Navin Nooli is the editor. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers. AS Prakash and Burra Sai Madhav are the art director and the dialogue writer respectively.
