Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2, starring actor Vikram in the lead role, has collected Rs 12.79 crore in all languages in its four-day run in theatres. Written and directed by SU Arun Kumar, the film had faced hurdles on the day of release on Thursday with FDFS and noon shows getting cancelled.
Actor Vikram joined hands with filmmaker SU Arun Kumar for Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2. The film released in theatres on Thursday. However, it was not a smooth release after all. The FDFS shows at 9 am and the afternoon shows suffered due to cancellations because of legal issues. A court stay order was issued on the film. After settling the dispute, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 shows began at 5 pm on Thursday and are now running in cinemas with all shows.
During its three days of theatrical run, the film has collected Rs 12.79 crore at the domestic box office, including Tamil and Telugu. The film majorly opened to positive reception, and the makers are banking on positive word of mouth for the collections to increase during the Eid weekend.
Written and directed by filmmaker SU Arun Kumar, the action thriller is headlined by Vikram. Besides him, Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 also stars Dushara Vijayan, Suraj Venjaramoodu, SJ Suryah and others. The film has music by GV Prakash Kumar, with Theni Eswar cranking the camera.
Veera Dheera Sooran: Part 2 is the sequel, which released first, with the prequel yet to come out. The film revolves around the rivalry between a cop and powerful family in a village. When the protagonist, who was former hitman for the family, is called to do one last hitjob, the film explores the events that happen over one night between the three parties.
