Veekam OTT release date: When and where to watch Dhyan Sreenivasan, Dain Davis’ crime thriller

Malayalam actor Dhyan Sreenivasan’s crime thriller Veekam, which is written and helmed by Sathyam Maathrame Bodhipikku director Sagar, is all set for its OTT release, nearly two months after it hit theatres.

The movie revolves around three forensic surgeons who get entangled in a murder case, and set out on an investigation to prove their innocence. Apart from Dhyan, the film also has Aju Varghese, Dain David, Siddique, Dayana Hameed, Jagadish, Dinesh Prabhakar, Muthumani and Sheelu Abraham, who has also produced the movie.

While Dhyan essays the role of a forensic surgeon in the film, Sheelu plays an IPS officer and Dinesh Prabhakar, a doctor. The plot of the movie, which was shot entirely in Kochi, is set against the backdrop of a medical campus.

Sagar and Dhyan had previously teamed up for the thriller Sathyam Maathrame Bodhipikku, which is streaming on Sun NXT. Veekam’s OTT rights have been bought by ZEE5 and the movie is expected to begin streaming on the platform from February 3. Dhyan’s previous film Prakashan Parakkatte’s rights were also bought by ZEE5.

Meanwhile, Dhyan is currently shooting for Akhil Kavungal’s Joy Full Enjoy. The movie, which also has Aparna Das, Biju Sopanam, Kalabhavan Navas, Nirmal Palazhi and Meera Nair, is touted to be a feel-good comedy drama that has the actor essaying the role of a film aspirant. Joy Full Enjoy will also see him team up with Indrans, after their cult film Udal, which is yet to have an OTT release.

The actor has also wrapped up shooting for Higuita, Khali Purse of Billionaires, Jailer and Bullet Diaries. While Higuita is a political thriller that also has Suraj Venjaramoodu in the lead, Khali Purse of Billionaires, which has Tanvi Ram and Aju Varghese, is a comedy revolving around two engineers who decide to form a start-up company.
