Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat: Akshay Kumar begins shooting for Mahesh Manjrekar directorial as Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Akshay Kumar's upcoming Marathi movie, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, has finally started shooting in Mumbai. In the film, the star plays the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and he shared a photo on his social media pages. Akshay is seen folding his hands in front of a portrait of the great Maratha warrior.

While sharing the photo, Akshay captioned it in Hindi, which loosely translates as "Starting the shoot of the Marathi film Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat today, in which I am fortunate to play the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj ji. I will try my best to take inspiration from his life, with the blessings of Maa Jijau!"

The actor thinks that playing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on the big screen is a very big deal. Akshay was taken aback when Raj Sir asked him to play this part.
