Filmmaker Vasan Bala recently collaborated on a project with actress Alia Bhatt for the first time. The director helmed a film titled Jigra with Alia and Vedang Raina as the lead actors. Although the movie received a positive response from critics, it didn't do well at the box office. In a recent interview, Vasan shared his experience working with Alia on the jailbreak thriller. The filmmaker explained why directors suffer in their next film after working with Bhatt.
In an interview with Mashable India, Vasan Bala said every director should get a chance to work with Alia Bhatt. The filmmaker said, " They will be spoilt and then unki agli film mein band bajegi (They will suffer in their next film). She has no entourage, nothing, she is always ready."

He went on to mention, "Sometimes, I didn’t even have to communicate how I wanted a scene; a gesture from my end would be enough for her to understand what I needed in that shot." Bala further recalled a day on set when he and Alia welcomed a fun environment during the shoot.
"Usually, sets are funny, but this film lacked humour, so the environment on the set used to remain quiet serious. This one day, we had a lighter day, and we were just chit-chatting and laughing," he shared. Talking about Jigra, the film's star cast also included Manoj Pahwa, Rahul Ravindran and more in supporting roles.
On the work front, Alia has some exciting projects lined up. The actress will be seen in YRF's first female spy film Alpha alongside Sharvari. She also has Love & War coming up with her husband Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film is being directed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She also has Brahmastra 2, by Ayan Mukerji lined up.
