Varun Dhawan has mesmerized the audiences with his action-packed avatar in Citadel: Honey Bunny. The Bollywood actor starred in Raj & DK's series with Samantha. The Indian version of Citadel premiered on Amazon Prime Video on November 7. Amid positive reception for Citadel: Honey Bunny, it's being speculated that Varun will soon make his Hollywood debut. According to Pinkvilla, the actor might star in the Russo Brothers' series Citadel.
As per the entertainment portal, Varun Dhawan's power-packed performance in Citadel: Honey Bunny has caught the Russo Brothers' attention. The media report suggests the filmmaker duo is impressed and they are apparently in talks with Varun for a full-fledged international project. Varun reportedly met Angelia Russo, who praised the actor.
For the uninitiated, Citadel: Honey Bunny traced the origin story of Priyanka Chopra's character Nadia from the US version of Citadel. In Citadel: Honey Bunny, Kashvi Majmundar played the younger version of Nadia. She is seen as the on-screen daughter of Varun and Samantha's characters.
Meanwhile, in an interview with The Hindu, Varun Dhawan opened up about the look for his character in Citadel: Honey Bunny. Talking about the choice of his jackets in the series, Varun said, "They were specially chosen by Raj & DK and our costume designer Ameira Punvani. They showed me the mood-board of the clothes I was going to wear: leather jackets, denims, high boots, high-wasted pants. I sport a mullet as well in the series."
As for Citadel: Honey Bunny, the web series has been directed by Raj & DK. Written by Sita Menon along with the filmmaker duo, the series' star cast includes Saqib Saleem, Kay Kay Menon, Sikandar Kher, Sohum Majumdar, Shivankit Singh Parihar, and others.
