A section of people believes that he misbehaves with his female co-stars. It all started after a few videos of him with Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani went viral on the internet in the past. Here's what the actor has to say...
A video of Varun and Kiara Advani started doing the rounds after he planted an impromptu kiss on her cheek during a magazine shoot. Not only that, during the promotions of Jugjugg Jeeyo, Varun tried to push Kiara into a pool and her shocking reaction was captured on the camera. The video went viral on social media instantly. During his recent interview with Shubhankar Mishra, Varun Dhawan reacted to the claims and said that it was all in 'good fun'.
While speaking about the sudden kiss, he claimed that it was a pre-planned thing between them. The Main Tera Hero actor said, "I’m glad you asked me this. It was planned. Both Kiara and I posted that clip. It was for a digital cover, and they wanted some movement and action, so we planned that." Reacting to Kiara's shocking expression, he added, "She’s a good actress. It was completely planned. I’ll admit when things weren’t planned." When the host asked him about the pool incident, he admitted that it wasn't a planned thought and did it on purpose. He continued, "It was all in good fun. It wasn’t planned. That’s just my nature, I guess."
The host further also questioned him about his and Alia's video from the movie promotions. In the video, it was seen that he touched her belly during a media event. Clarifying the same, he said, "I did it in fun. It wasn’t flirting. We’re friends." Does Varun enjoy flirting with his co-stars? He said, "Chhedam-chhaadi, if it is done in a happy space, a good space, whether it is a man or a woman… I have fun with my male co-stars as well, but nobody mentions that."
Meanwhile, Baby John hits cinemas on December 25, 2024.
